Research projects

A figure showing one participant's ebook navigation behaviour over time
eBook reading behaviour: the influence of motivation and electronic reading experience
Behavioural measure identification Cognitive psychology
Psychological theories
Multilevel modelling R RMarkdown Participant recruitment

A large-scale study of e-reading behaviour in over 1200 participants. Data was collected using a custom method (see e-reader system) over 11 months and analysed in R using multilevel modelling. Work presented in a seminar in University of Jyväskylä, publications currently under work, full study presented in chapter 5 of my PhD thesis: see here.

Behavioural analysis of Amazon Kindle reading behaviour
Combining datasets
Behavioural measure identification
Data cleaning Multilevel modelling RMarkdown Participant recruitment R

I collected participants Amazon Kindle user data and analysed it to understand how adults use Kindle e-readers to read within the context of their daily life. Publications under work, full study presented in chapter 6 of my PhD thesis: see here.

Behavioural measure identification
Data cleaning Multilevel modelling RMarkdown Participant recruitment R

A observational study of the ways in which adults read a short story in the context of their daily lives using a custom method (see e-reader system). 60 participants read a short story and their reading behaviour was observed by embedded tracking features. Publication: https://doi.org/10.3389/feduc.2023.1302701
